Excerpt: I have just bought a SmallHD Focus 5″ Monitor for use with my smaller cameras – especially the point and shoot ones. I wish something like this had come out onto the market earlier. It is so bright and easy to use in bright daylight (something I was struggling with on the A5100 screen) that I’m now pretty confident I’ll use this as an on the go interview camera / monitor setup in future at small education events. It is not cheap but I love my little Sony A5100 because, as a camera, with certain lenses it still gives one of the best…

Here’s a quick video roundup of my impressions of this year’s BETT. Every year I interview one or two people who offer a free service to grass roots teachers. This year, more than ever, I think BETT has become an ‘at scale’ proposition – more for senior managers; business to business; international and global firms; senior managers.
