Update on Professional Video Streaming through Twitter

This morning I finally cracked it. Good Video and superb audio with camera switching. I have been working on this for years and years! Definitely on course to broadcast out of Twitter by the end of the month.

I know I’ve said this again and again but all the elements had to be in place to get the best sound/ picture/ stream through the medium of twitter out onto a phone.

Here is my last public test before going live later this month.

After a 7 month break, I’ve been working on being able to make quick video posts out through Twitter via Persicope generated by Wirecast software.

I have spent the last few days learning to configure a hardware switching box to make the whole process easier. I’m indebted to John at the Here to Record YouTube Channel who adapted the original code for the Korg nanoKONTROL midi controller from Mark at TTFN.

I can see this making my life a lot easier. Now for the autocue and other bits of paraphernalia to make the whole process complete.

We launch Mikeybot on Kickstarter

Together with a few colleagues I have launched a Kickstarter campaign > theMikeybot.

This is a simple, cheap, wireless drawing and line following robot for families and schools. We haven’t had that much takeup yet (probably due to schools’ budgets being very constrained at the moment) but we’ll persevere whatever the case.

The unique thing about the robot is that it can be controlled by any computer and as part of a network hub wirelessly. Which hasn’t really been fully achieved before.
